About MemesForWork
MemesForWork is a meme library filtered for the one constraint that matters at work: you have to be able to defend it in the recap.
General meme libraries optimise for the strongest version of a joke. In a company channel, strength is not the binding constraint — attribution is. The meme is attached to your name, stored forever, searchable by people who were not in the thread, and readable by the exact colleague it might accidentally describe. Plenty of people have learned this the screenshot way.
So this site inverts the filter. It starts from the situations every team shares — the standup, the review, the deploy, the queue, the muted mic — and stocks only versions whose joke lands on the situation. Every one of the 40 cards is original text written for this library, carries the situations it fits, and includes a short note on how to post it without collateral damage. A five-step etiquette guide documents the reasoning so teams can adopt it as a norm, not just a vibe.
The format is deliberately light: no image downloads, no accounts, nothing uploaded. You copy a card into Slack or Teams in the format each app prefers, and the whole exchange takes about ten seconds — which is also roughly how long a good work meme should take.
MemesForWork is built by Jimmy | ORBITFRAME, an independent front-end developer, as one of a family of small meme tools — including ReactionFinder (find reaction memes by feeling), MemeMyPost (place memes into articles) and MemeTemplateKit (a browser meme generator). The full family is linked in the footer of every page.
